Homemade Beef Burgers !

I have always bought my Beef Burgers instead of using homemade beef burgers but recently discovered its so easy and creating special flavers that the butchers charge extra for is so easy and making your own means that you know what is in your homemade beef burgers  Making homemade beef burgers is cheap simple and fun, especially for kids - get them to mix and shape their own homemade beef burgers and then an adult can cook the homemade beef burgers for the children. once the homemade beef burgers is cooked, they can make up their roll - ideally give them a choice of bread rolls and salad as well as sauce. Try to use the leanest minced beef you can for this recipe, as it will really enhance the flavour of the homemade beef burgers, as well as being much better for you. Serve with a choice of salad vegetables, including coleslaw, spring onions, cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes etc and a variety of sauces, such as mild mustard, mayonnaise, tomato sauce etc. The quantities shown in this recipe make 4 burgers.

Homemade Beef Burger Ingredients

  • 400g Lean minced beef
  • 2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

Method

  1. Add all the homemade beef burger ingredients into a mixing Bowl
  2. Divide the mixture into 4, or 8 if for small children, and form into a ball.
  3. Squash the ball to form a round patty.
  4. Place the patties under the grill or on to a barbeque and cook for approximately 5 minutes on each side. The cooking time will depend on the size and thickness of the homemade beef burgers, so ensure each is thoroughly cooked.
  5. Remove the homemade beef burgers from the heat and place into the rolls, making the sandwiches to taste.
